What do you need to know about Kids Corner?

Kids Corner work in the childcare sector. They have a supportive and friendly team that will help you throughout your apprenticeship journey Kids Corner have been established since 2012 and mainly focus on the care of children between the ages of 0-8.  

So, what will your day to day look like?

You will be supporting by Carrying out care needs to children which may include teeth, skin, hair, feeding and toileting under supervision You will be working towards your Early Years Educator Level 3 Qualification and attend 1-2-1 meetings via teams every month to discuss your progress with your tutor and learn about modules including risk management, key person & attachment, learning & development, and more!  You will have a minimum of 6 hours per week to complete apprenticeship work which includes assignments, research, and training within your role. All apprenticeship work is completed in the workplace during your working hours.

Daily tasks include:

• Planning and delivering activities with children aged 0-8.
• Supporting children with their general development including interacting with other children
• Communicating with parents and carers of their child’s daily/ weekly progress
• Supervising children to ensure you are managing/ avoiding any risks

• Salary: £6.40 per hour, 30 hours per week
• Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 – 4:30
• Location: 315 Gwendolen Road, Leicester, LE5 5FS
• Qualification: Early Years Educator Level 3 takes approximately 18 months.
  
  

What skills/qualifications or personalities would be suited to this role?

• You must have a minimum of English/Maths GCSE 4/C to apply for this role and you must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
