Network Designer & Network Engineer Rotations:
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our Network Designer and Network Engineer rotational programmes. These entry-level roles provide hands-on experience in Fibre to the Home (FTTH) network design and Telecommunications Fibre network solutions, offering a strong foundation in industry-leading technologies and methodologies.
Job Description:
These rotational roles provide a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in FTTH network design and network engineering, working alongside experienced professionals. You’ll receive extensive training in IQGeo, Comsof, QGIS, and network deployment, contributing to real-world projects and building your technical expertise.
Network Designer Rotation:
You will work closely with the Design Team to assist in planning and developing FTTH network designs. This rotation will enhance your knowledge of design tools and methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Network Designer Rotation
- Assist in creating FTTH network designs (HLD, LLD, Permit Drawings) and preparing BOMs, Splicing Schematics, and SLDs.
- Learn and apply QGIS and other design tools under senior designers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance FTTH design knowledge.
Network Engineer Rotation:
- Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of fibre networks across Optical and IP domains.
- Conduct break-fix support, third-party integrations, and automation development.
- Document customer fibre network topologies and assist in upgrades.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Strong interest in network design, telecommunications, and fibre network engineering.
- An aptitude for problem-solving and learning new technologies.
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure, tools, and design principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Entry Requirements:
- an A-Level in ICT
- OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 ICT
- OR an A-Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
- OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
