Market Development Manager - Property

Our Property Services provide professional end to end property related

consultancy services to both education and commercial sectors. We take a holistic approach to property requirements and opportunities enabling our clients to manage the day to day operational requirements of facilities and maintain a strategic overview for future

- Asset Management & Planning (AM&P)

- Energy Procurement & Management

- Multi Academy Trust Support

- Maintenance Services

We are now excited to be recruiting for a Market Development Director to lead growth in this key market, setting the strategic plan for growth, including new and existing clients, and delivering annual budget.

The primary responsibility is to generate new business to drive sales and profitability to meet budgetary targets as well as playing an active role in retaining key current clients. What you'll be doing : 

  • Developing a strong understanding of the company's products, the competition in the industry and positioning
  • Creating sales forecasts with a demonstrable plan to achieving working them, through activities such as:
  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients and new partnerships
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
  • Developing relationships with current clients to leverage new business opportunities
  • Pitching concepts and products to new and existing clients
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends
  • Collaborating with design teams to ensure that the requirements are met

What we're looking for : 

  • Experience of working business development within a property setting
  • E xperience in Educational Settings or with Educational clients
  • Experience within a sales, account management and marketing context.
  • Credibility with senior decision-makers and a robust existing 'black book' from which to build a pipeline
  • Able to work collaboratively and engage with colleagues
  • Flexibility, adaptability, a self-starter able to develop and manage their own workload
  • Commercially astute and financially aware
