IT Support Apprentice

Why South Lanarkshire College? 
South Lanarkshire College are looking for an IT Support Apprentice to join their team in March 2025. 

The apprentice will complete a 2-year apprenticeship programme, starting off on a Digital Helpdesk Support Level 6 qualification and progressing onto an IT Support Level 8 Programme.

What’s Involved?

  • Routine refresh, support and maintenance of all desktop systems.
  • Provide support and maintain up to date and appropriate configurations for all desktop hardware and software.
  • Installation, testing and configuration of software and hardware.
  • Using the software tools to ensure all systems are performing at the highest quality.
  • Update the Asset Register with all moves and changes of IT equipment.
  • Moving and setting up of equipment, as necessary.

You will complete any other duties as necessary within the scope of the role.

Salary:
£22,932 per annum.

Working week:
Standard 35-hour working week.
Hours are worked between 8:45am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Future prospects:
A fixed term contract is available for one year after the successful completion of the 2 year programme.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
