Job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an IT Support trainee. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and eager to learn and grow in the IT field.

Ideal candidate will have some background in computing/IT

 Responsibilities:

  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software issues for employees.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
  • Provide technical support to staff, including troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches.
  • Help manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Participate in IT projects as assigned, such as software upgrades and system migrations.
  • Document IT processes and procedures.
  • Stay current with technological developments and trends.

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in technology and a desire to pursue a career in IT.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Prior experience or coursework in IT is a plus but not required.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
