IT Services Apprentice

Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented IT Services Apprentice to join our team. You will support the End User Services team by assisting in the areas from end user services, desktop support and customer support. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands on experience and foundational skills within IT services like hardware and software troubleshooting and desktop support, offering valuable exposure to real-world IT environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with hardware and software installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Onboarding and offboarding of employees from an IT standpoint.
  • Support end-users with IT-related issues, both onsite and remotely.
  • Help maintain IT documentation and asset inventory.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment.
  • Basic network troubleshooting.
  • Audio visuals: supporting MS Teams based meetings and conference rooms.
  • Research and suggest improvements in IT processes.

Desirable skills:

  • Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and networking.
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or Mac OS environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week, 4 days per week in the office.
