Digital Support Apprentice

We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 

Main Purpose:
Digital handling of all noticing / permitting work required for the programme for contracts in Scotland. Adhering at all times to the Codes of Practice for Co-ordination of works in the road.

Key Duties:

  • Ensure that all noticing works take place within acceptable timescales and providing the sub- contractors accurate noticing information / reporting via Symology/ Aurora / Streetmanager. By the end of your apprenticeship, you will be fully competent in using multiple systems. 
  • Develop and maintain Circet’s Management Information System, taking info from Symology/ Aurora / Streetmanager to do so. 
  • Identify, manage and report on any dependencies, milestones, critical path and potential risks/issues using various MS Applications. 
  • Contribute to the health and safety of our field staff by providing accurate information about other utilities in the vicinity of our excavation works. 
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships within KNNS, Suppliers and client and Local Authorities, ensuring collaborative working across teams/areas. 
  • To accurately report on noticing KPIs, FPN, Defects, notice completions and reinstatements.

Key Challenges:

  • Problem solving to allow projects to be delivered on time. 
  • Ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner. 
  • Excellent organization skills and great attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational & planning skills.
  • Effective time management skills. 
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team. 
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable. 
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision is essential. 
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. 

General:
Able to carry out other duties that are consistent with the job-holder’s knowledge and skills and are necessary for the satisfactory completion of contracts or for attainment of the goals of the business.

Working week:
40 hours a week.

Salary:
£21,000 per annum.
