Digital Support Apprentice

Grants Foods are a manufacturer of canned ready meals and sell to over 40 countries! As the business expanded and developed, Grant’s relocated to Ayrshire. Today, they continue to make products from fresh produce and their commitment to creating delicious, top-quality food remains at the centre of everything they do.

They are now looking for a Digital Support Apprentice to join their hard-working team. The ideal candidate would have customer service experience, be organised and can work to deadlines, and the rest can be learned through our training program.

Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for customers via phone and email, solving problems where applicable
  • Become an expert of Sage (accounting software) to manage inventory and invoices. Data must be entered correctly onto Sage in order ensure good cashflow
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary through Banner (ERP system)
  • Use Microsoft Outlook to coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff
  • Conduct research and compile data as requested on Microsoft Excel
  • Assist with HR-related tasks, such as maintaining employee records
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Required skills:

  • Proven experience in a customer service role
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with data entry and typing accurately
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of SAGE is a bonus, however don’t be put off, training can be given

Salary:

£18,000 per annum

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm with 1 hour lunch break

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
