Data Analyst Apprentice

Walker Love provide professional services to a range of court users, financial services institutions, public sector bodies and government agencies. Employing circa 135 staff across 6 offices throughout Scotland and holding the Silver Investors in People (IIP) Accreditation, we are committed to offering a highly rewarding employee experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and improving systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply, transfer, and organise data and physical files in line with company procedures.
  • Ensure all data is accurately named, stored, and retrievable in accordance with data protection policies.
  • Manually review and update transaction rejections in the system.
  • Accurately update and maintain customers’ personal details on the company’s internal database.
  • Analyse data to give insights and support decision making.
  • Respond to client enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide support and information to clients regarding their accounts or queries.

Required skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good understanding of Excel and Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and perform under pressure.
  • High standard of processing skills - speed/accuracy.
  • Good level of numeracy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be capable of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • National 5 in: English, Mathematics, Computing/Administration.

Salary: £23,809.76 per annum.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm.

Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 8.
