Join Ibstock Plc as a Cyber Security Apprentice and take your first steps into the exciting world of IT security. This hands-on programme will equip you with a Level 4 Cyber Security Engineer apprenticeship through a leading external training provider, while you gain real-world experience in a FTSE 250 manufacturing business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify and analyse cyber vulnerabilities, threats, and risks across systems and networks.
  • Conduct cyber risk assessments, audits and contribute to incident response.
  • Configure and operate cyber security tools, digital networks, and protocols.
  • Research emerging cyber-attack methods and support risk mitigation strategies.
  • Present your findings and reports to key business stakeholders.
  • Ensure cyber security activities align with company policies and industry standards.

Who we’re looking for:

We want curious, committed, and tech-passionate individuals who are:

  • Enthusiastic about cybersecurity and willing to learn.
  • Analytical thinkers who approach problems logically and methodically.
  • Strong communicators with the ability to present complex issues clearly.
  • Proactive and keen to stay up to date on cyber threats and technologies.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Bonus points for any prior experience, self-study, or coursework in IT, coding, networking, or cybersecurity!

Entry requirements:

  • An A-Level in ICT
  • OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
  • OR a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
