A great opportunity for a full time position to work as a Cleaner for 8 hours per day Monday to Friday at Redcar & Cleveland Police HQ, Kirkleatham Business Park.

You will be responsible for providing a daily cleaning service to Redcar & Cleveland Police HQ, however, work at the other facilities maybe required from time to time. You will ensure the general upkeep and cleanliness of the offices, toilets, canteen, tea points, meeting room and all other common areas.

All of our staff are expected to take personal pride in the standards of appearance to promote the professional image of the Cleveland Police Authority. You will need to use your own initiative in order to maintain the highest possible standards.

It is important to work closely as part of a team to provide a service which will create the minimum disruption to the operational effectiveness of Cleveland Police.

Service provision should be proactive so that all necessary requirements are met in good time. What you'll be doing:

  • General and emergency cleaning, ensuring all specified areas meet the required standards in accordance with the service standards
  • To collect all office waste and deposit at specified points within the facility boundary
  • To ensure that all cleaning associated equipment is in good order and in the case of any electrical appliance involved, to ensure that they are used only in the manner for which they were designed
  • To ensure that the standard of cleanliness in toilet areas complies with standard Health & Safety requirements
  • To ensure all necessary supplies such as soap dispensers, toilet rolls etc. are regularly serviced and replaced in accordance with necessary guidelines
  • To ensure all cleaning equipment is in good order. If necessary, arrange maintenance and repair via the FM Soft Services Manager
  • To report all faults of equipment, damage to furniture, light failures, leaking taps etc. to the tascor 24/7 Helpdesk at the first available opportunity
  • To comply with Cleveland Police Authority and tascor operational procedures including necessary Health and Safety requirements
  • To provide a flexible approach to all duties and carry out occasional alternative tasks as required by the Hard FM & Estates Manager or the Contracts Manager
