About our apprenticeships

As an apprentice casework assistant or victim service assistant, you make a real difference to society whilst building the skills and knowledge you need to support your career development.

Casework assistants provide vital administrative support on the front line of our service – you prepare cases for court, serve documents and record information accurately. You’re the first point of contact for your team, providing excellent customer to maintain public confidence in our work.

As a victim service assistant, you deliver exceptional customer service to enhance how we communicate and engage with victims of crime. You help victims to understand our role and the decisions we make, the role of the wider criminal justice system, and their rights during the legal process.

Whether you’re preparing cases in a specialist unit such as organised crime, or helping to improve the service we offer to victims, your level 3 customer service apprenticeship gives you the skills you need to thrive in your role.

About you

We’re looking for people aged 18 or over, with excellent written, verbal and digital communication skills. You don’t need any qualifications to apply – we’re looking for commitment to public service and your own personal development. You’re supported to achieve GCSE qualifications in maths and English, if you don’t already have these at grade 4/C.
