Apprentice Production Chef - TECHRETE (UK) LTD

Summary

We are looking for a passionate chef to join our already fantastic team. Working with state-of-the-art kitchen equipment you can grow with a brand new, experienced team and develop your skills in the kitchen.  This is a role for a production chef in a factory setting.

The initial hourly rate for this apprenticeship is £8.50 per hour. As you progress through each year of the apprenticeship, your pay will incrementally increase. This gradual raise is designed to reward your growing skills and experience.

Training course Production chef (level 2)

Hours Monday - Friday, shifts to be confirmed

39 hours a week

What you’ll do at work

General duties include but are not limited to: 

  • You will be working in a busy modern factory setting   
  • Learning to produce food under a deadline to order 
  • You will gain proper experience in your trade 
  • Food prep
  • Learning new creative techniques and developing your skills  
  • Working in a fast-paced kitchen  
  • Learning organisational skills and good time management   
  • Learning how to create new dishes

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer

  • Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Functional Skills for English and/or maths if needed

You will undertake both on and off-the-job training by a team of industry-qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge, and experience

Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

English and Math (grade C/4 or above)

Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements

You must be able to travel to and from work and college. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
