What does the ACCA Qualification include?
There are three parts to the ACCA Qualification:
13 exams
Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM)
Practical Experience Requirement (PER)
The exams are in three stages:
Applied Skills: An introduction to the world of finance and accounting, you will gain a broad understanding of essential accounting techniques such as effective business operations, management accounting and financial accounting.
Applied Knowledge: Will enable you to develop the strong, practical skills that are part of the strategic finance professional’s toolkit – including taxation, financial reporting and audit.
Strategic Professional: You’ll learn the dynamic skills and strategic vision that all great businesses and financial leaders need. Our Strategic Professional exams also give you the opportunity to specialise in areas that best suit your career ambitions.
Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM)
This module is an essential part of the ACCA Qualification and helps increase your employability and workplace effectiveness. The module uses realistic business simulations to develop a number of professional skills such as problem-solving, communication, commercial awareness and leadership that employers are looking for and on which you can build a career.
Practical Experience Requirement (PER)
This is where you put your learning into practice and gain the real-world knowledge and experience employers are looking for. As well as completing exams and the ethics module, you need three years’ practical experience in a relevant role to qualify as an ACCA member.
Who is it for?
If you have two A Levels and three GCSEs in five separate subjects including English and maths (or equivalent qualifications), you can start your studies directly at the ACCA Qualification, and on completion you'll become an ACCA member.
If you don't have these qualifications, you can start at our Foundations in Accountancy qualifications and then progress onto the ACCA Qualification. Alternatively you could do our ACCA Apprenticeship.
