Digital Office Support Apprentice

Who you’ll be working for:
We have a fantastic opportunity to join McQuilkin & Co, a laboratory equipment supplier based in East Kilbride. Alongside lab equipment, they’ve been supplying a tailored service, since 1910. You will be working for a business which has people at the heart of everything they do. Over 100 years since they began in Glasgow, today the client serve the likes of Life Science, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical Production.

Along with their sister company they have had a number of successful apprentices with QA over recent years. They hold a proud history of developing young talent and seeing them succeed for the rest of their professional career.

Overview:
You will work within the business helping to provide great service through a number of different channels of communication. Overtime you will build strong relationships with colleagues and customers and naturally gain more responsibility, looking after finance and arranging all training for the wider business.

Whilst gaining impeccable on the job learning you will also be working towards your Digital Applications Support SCQF Level 6 with QA.

Responsibilities:

  • Become the first point of contact for the business when it comes to operating the CRM tool for tickets. Managing the ticket and follow the processes from start to finish.
  • You will become a super user of our main client relationship management tool – Business Central. You will be responsible for logging customer queries and updating their records on here.
  • You will use the tool in order to store notes and data to extract information collaboratively with the wider team.
  • Become an expert user of ERM accounting system. Assist with finance queries, reports and pay checks for stakeholders.
  • Running reports and manipulating data using Business Central to understand buyer habits and purchasing trends.
  • Work collaboratively with all parts of the business and arrange the booking of staff training.
  • Using Teams to arrange meetings and work around calendars.
  • Communicate electronically with customers using Outlook.
  • Using all applications under Office 365.

Salary:

£17,000 per annum.

Working hours:

37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm, Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.

They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
