How did you hear about the Be Wiser Insurance apprenticeshipprogramme?
I originally applied for one of thegeneral vacancies, but one of the Recruitment Consultants recognised that I could benefit from the Fresh Start Apprenticeship programme which is specifically tailored for school leavers. The programme will allow me to continue my education after leaving school, alongside gaining valuable work experience within a fast growing local business, and earn a competitive starting salary.
What were you doing before you started the FreshStart programme here at Be Wiser?
From leaving school, I attended college for several weeks studying Animal Management before realising it wasn’t for me. I had heard of Be Wiser Insurance from friends who were already employed within the business, so saw it as a new challenge and a different environment to venture in to.
What do you enjoy most about being on the programme?
I like that the programme gives me a solid foundation to build on, and a great starting point within the business.
What advice would you give for someone looking to sign up to the programme?
Do what’s right for you, and not just follow the crowd. If college is not for you then look at other alternatives such as Apprenticeships to allow you to gain skills, experience and qualifications.
Where do you see yourself in the next 3 years?
I would like to work my way up through the business, and also continue my education by progressing on to the next level programme in the future.
