What made you decide to pursue an apprenticeship?

For me personally, I’m better at learning new things whilst immersed in an environment where I can apply them to real situations. Because of this, an apprenticeship was the ideal choice for me as I’m applying calculations and other topics into my day-to-day tasks at work.

What advice would you give to someone considering applying for an apprenticeship?

Firstly, attend a few careers fairs and college open evenings and see what feels best for you. Then, if you are still considering an apprenticeship, research all the companies that are offering an apprenticeship programme.
Plan for the interviews and assessment stages that the companies will invite you to and do all you can to show that you want this apprenticeship and that they should take you on.
