“Like all young people, when I was in school, I did not know what I wanted to do..........The Head of my Sixth Form School suggested to attend a taster day for apprenticeships in an accountancy firm. I did and I fell in love with the idea........ I tried my best and successfully enrolled myself with Uxbridge College as an Accounting Apprentice on AAT Level 2 Accounting, at Sebastian & Daughters.
It did happen for me and I really enjoy it but it only happened for me as I worked hard.
There is a natural overlap throughout my learning experience which is very rewarding. I go to the College to learn new accountacy rules those I apply at my workplace. Simultaneously, I learn something at my work place that gives me quite a head start as no one in my class really knows about it yet! Not only I am earning while I am learning, but I am also acquiring administrative experience which I would not learn only by going to college.
My future plan is to become a qualified Chartered Accountant. As the ACCA links to my course modules, I will achieve a professional qualification without having to go to University.
I am doing what I want to do and I am getting paid for it without any debt in the end!”
