Here are some top tips on what you can do to prepare.
1. Research Apprenticeship Opportunities
Begin by exploring the types of apprenticeships available in industries you're interested in. There are so many different types of apprenticeships being offered these days, so you need to research which one interests you the most. Use the Not Going To Uni website to browse the types of apprenticeships currently available and search companies online for which you are interested in working. Create a list of potential apprenticeships, noting their application deadlines, entry requirements, and any specific skills or qualifications needed.
2. Work on your CV
A high-quality CV is essential for apprenticeship applications, as this is usually the first impression you make during the application process. Start by updating your CV with any new qualifications, predicted grades, extracurricular activities, or work experiences that you have. It is important to highlight the skills, achievements, and experiences that align with the apprenticeships you're interested in.
