NotGoingToUni is pleased to announce a new partnership with the National Apprenticeship Service to promote up-to-the-minute Apprenticeship vacancies. The new service will provide you with more opportunities to find out about the Apprenticeships on offer and the chance to earn while you learn in a real job, gaining a real qualification and a real future.
We will be hosting the National Apprenticeship Service’s ‘Av Live' feed www.notgoingtouni.co.uk/all , so you can view and apply for live Apprenticeship vacancies as soon as employers advertise them. And we will also be keeping you up to date with all the news on Apprenticeships online and on our social media channels.
If you see an Apprenticeship that you like the look of in the feed, check out this ‘How to apply for an apprenticeship’ film, click on the link on the feed or visit apprenticeships.org.uk for more information.
Here are some tips to make your application stand out:
There are an average of ten applications for every Apprenticeship – so you need to make sure that your application is FIT for the job:
1. Find out more about the employer, the training provider and the job description before applying.
2. Identify yourself, your skills and interests clearly – be professional, but try and allow your personality to come out.
3. Tailor your application to each vacancy – don’t just send the same CV and covering letter to each employer.
And don’t forget to follow up your application with a phone call to ensure your CV is top of the pile.
