The Cowley Mini plant in Oxfordshire is looking for 32 apprentices, to start there in August. They're being offered training in a wide range of roles including HR, business, engineering and electrical maintenance.
The plant has recently opened a training school that features a fully-equipped workshop, state-of-the-art classroom and dedicated computer study areas.
The programme is being delivered by Oxford Brookes University, and business and IT apprentices will be attending Abingdon and Witney College.
Currently 85 people are serving apprenticeships at the Mini plant, for three and four years, depending on their training, which leads to an NVQ Level 3 qualification.
Some apprentices will be given the chance to progress up to degree level.
Mini production sites are also in Swindon and near Birmingham, where 13 more apprenticeship vacancies will be filled.
Mini's Head of Training for the UK, Simon Farrall, says: “Investment in skilled young people is a key part of our development strategy for the plant.
“It is vital that we attract the very best young talent to ensure the business has the right skills for the future, and we are delighted to be able to continue to offer young people a chance to join our modern apprenticeship programme.”
Mini is part of the BMW Group, which now includes Rolls-Royce Motor Cars at Goodwood.
