The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL) is offering Apprenticeships and Level 3 qualifications, which are ideal for students receiving their AS and A Level results this Thursday (13 August). While Level 3 is equivalent to A Level study and attracts UCAS points for entry to university it is also highly employment related so students gain knowledge which is also valuable for their entry to work.
Apprenticeships are paid jobs in which candidates work a minimum of 30 hours a week and study for qualifications.
Kurt Hintz, CONEL Vice Principal, said: “Whether you achieved the results you desired in your AS and A Levels or not, have a look at what CONEL can offer in terms of getting a job or a university place. Level 3 qualifications and Apprenticeships are excellent routes to work and university.”
Accounting student Haroon Ali said “I joined the Accounting Academy and became an Advanced Apprentice with ICAP, a top City of London firm of Interdealer Brokers. I learned a lot about leadership and business with the Academy.”
Former Students’ Union President Melina Zachariou completed Creative and Media Level 3 Extended Diploma and is now going to Westminster University to study BA (Hons) Journalism. Melina said: “I’m really excited about studying Journalism and at the moment I’m considering specialising in becoming a food writer.”
