Who says you look better with a degree? We think you look great just as you are with your 180 UCAS points (three A-levels grade A-D (or equivalent)) and GCSE Maths and English grade A-C. After all, these qualifications can put you on the fast-track to the very top at Britain's number one retailer. Tesco's 12-month Trainee Management Programme is perfect for people who want to get on with their careers; people who aim high and want independence, responsibility and a salary instead of university debts. So why Tesco?

We promise people an opportunity to get on. And by people, we mean all 470,000 employees. Why? Because home-grown managers understand our culture and business and make valuable leaders. Many of our senior leaders started their career in our stores, including one of our Board Director David Potts, who joined as a Customer Assistant. Who knows where our Programme will take you?

What is the Trainee Management Programme?

You'll start as a Team Leader in a store near you. For the first six months, you'll get first-class training, support and responsibilities from the word go. After completing our leadership skills modules, we'll discuss where your career is heading with you. You'll spend the next six months in your first managerial role taking a hands on approach, putting into practice all that you have learnt. How's that for progress?

Would our programme suit you?

The right qualifications 180 UCAS points (three A-levels grade A-D (or equivalent)) and GCSE Maths and English grade A-C are important. But so is your approach. We want ambitious people who are keen to get on with their careers; people who are driven, have a passion for customers and retail and want to work on the shop floor. In other words, an exceptional career. Once you've completed the training programme, you'll be equipped to go as far as you want within our international business.
