Essex Academy is based in Harlow in Essex and caters for any one of any age and level of experience. Our qualifications will develop your basic knowledge, skills and competencies that learners need to work in a beauty salon and is the minimum standard required to work effectively. Our qualifications will get you to the place you want to be, with a 90% employment rate, it realy is in your hands..
We work in small classes of approx 8 learners at any one time, of a varied age range. You will work on one another and will be expected to bring in models who will pay minimum charges to cover the costs of services and treatments. We understand the importance of finding employment soon after you gain your qualification, which is why our day and evening programs incorporate work experience on real life models.
Work Experience and Placements
Work experience will allow you to thoroughly develop your new skills, showing future employers that you are capable of working in a spa or salon environment. Furthermore, we have helped students to gain outside work experience placements which has seen students successfully go onto employment through there work experience.
The reality is that you could be earning in this rewarding career path within 3 months. By this time next year, you will have earned back your course fee and will be enjoying the career you have always wanted - perhaps even looking forward to progressing in this exciting industry! Once you have gained your expertise in performing these treatments you may even progress to level 3 and in a few years decided you would like to teach earning you an added revenue along side your service income.
We do have some government funding so some students can train for free and receive a free kit. We also offer instalment plans for those wanting to pay privately.
