There are around 7,000 people in our UK retail networks, working in a diverse range of technical, sales. service, administration and management roles. As technologies develop, our range of the skills is expanding – e.g. to include hybrid/electric vehicle specialists, social media experts and data analysts. There are great opportunities to progress: the majority of our retail leaders have developed from within the business.

You will receive regular training and development in new products, technologies, services and
processes as well as important business skills. Via our National Academy you’ll receive a mix of face
to face and online training – we call it blended learning.
We offer a range of apprenticeships, including Apprentice Vehicle Technical Apprenticeships,
Data, Marketing, HR, Customer Service, and Business . We also offer a Trainee Customer
Consultant programme – perfect for people joining from outside of automotive.
Our retail managers and leaders attend world-class Management and Leadership development,
offered in conjunction with Loughborough University.

3. WE’RE COMMITTED TO PRINCIPLES OF EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
We’re a patron member of the Automotive 30% club, which works to support a better gender balance
within the sector. We are also working to support people from disadvantaged backgrounds to build
careers with us.
We value the opinions and suggestions of our colleagues. Our retail teams complete an Annual
Engagement Survey, and we use results to make improvements to the way we work.
4. WE’RE ENVIRONMENTAL CHAMPIONS
Toyota is committed to the goal of carbon neutrality; by 2025 Toyota will have more than 70 electrified
vehicles in its global portfolio including at least 15 Battery Electric Vehicles.
Toyota has committed an Earth Charter and six Environmental Challenges to be achieved by 2050.
We are committed to creating a ‘Hydrogen Society’, where Hydrogen is a leading source of energy. In
Japan, work has started on the development of hydrogen-powered ‘Woven City’, to test technologies such as self-driving vehicles, robotics, personal mobility, and artificial intelligence in a real-world
environment!
