ATT Trainee

A HAT member firm, Lewis Golden, based in central London, is recruiting an ATT trainee to join their team in May 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience while earning your ATT qualification.


Job Summary

This role is focused on providing candidates with thorough insight into the tax and accountancy profession and on improving their business acumen. No previous tax knowledge is required.

Duties would include:


• Assisting the business tax team in all tax administrative, technical and compliance-based tasks

• Supporting the team on advisory and consultancy projects

• Organising and managing tax reports, statements and documents relating to clients

• Scheduling and organising tax work and assignments for the business tax team

• Assisting in the preparation of tax returns for companies, unit trusts and partnerships

• Supporting the business tax team in filing tax returns in a timely manner

• Liaising with colleagues from other departments as and when necessary.

The successful candidate will:

37.5 per week (to drop to 35 after review)

Minimum academic criteria

You will need 112 UCAS tariff or equivalent – minimum requirements, plus a grade 6 or above in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent) for school and college leaver roles.

 

If you pass the aptitude test, we will invite you to complete a short, recorded video clip interview. This is your opportunity to bring your application to life. If you do well in this, you will then be invited to attend live zoom interview. This interview is a competency-based interview testing areas such as communication, commitment to the career and teamwork.

 

If you perform strongly at interview, you will be recommended the member firm for final interview. You will then be required to visit them for a second and final interview, so completing the selection procedure.
