The Nursery Teacher is a qualified childcare professional with responsibility for the ensuring the day to day practice within their room as part of a team. They perform an important role of caring for children, maintaining a high-quality, stimulating a learning environment, working as a team.

• To promote the high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff and 
visitors.
• To ensure the provision of high standards of physical and emotional care.
• To work with a team of professional workers and to ensure good practice at all 
times.
• To contribute to the planning of the environment.
• To ensure that admission forms and “all about me” profiles are filed appropriately in 
key children’s folders.
• To work as a key worker as well as being responsible for the presentation of the 
Montessori activities for all children.
• To assist with the daily risk assessment.
• All key children’s portfolios are checked and observations are carried out and 
recorded correctly with the date and time

Entry requirements

GCSE English and Maths 3-9/A-D (or equivalent such as functional skills in maths and English at Level 1).

Training to be provided

Apprentices will be required to attend college at least x1 day per week either at  Hayes Campus completing necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship. 

The apprentice will be required to complete:

Full Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification.

Employment Rights and Responsibilities.

Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours.

Standard and End Point Assessment.

Functional Skills in English, Maths (if required).

Other training will be provided by the employer as required to enable the fulfilment of the job role.
