Tesco Apprenticeships – Your Questions, Answered
Starting something new always comes with a few questions… We get it. Luckily, Tesco’s got answers for you. Whether you’re wondering about pay, training or what your day-to-day might look like, here’s a round-up of the most common questions about Tesco’s Stronger Starts Apprenticeships.
What kind of apprenticeships do Tesco offer?
From Retail to Maintenance, Finance, and Technology, there’s a bit of something for everyone. Each programme is designed to help you build practical skills, gain qualifications and kickstart your career with no uni degree required. Yes, you read that right.
Do I get paid?
Of course! All Tesco apprentices earn while they learn. You’ll receive a competitive salary, paid holiday, and full training. Tesco also covers the cost of your qualification, so there’s no tuition debt to worry about either.
What support will I get?
You’ll be supported every step of the way by experienced colleagues, team leaders and learning providers. Tesco is also one of the most inclusive companies in the UK, with 1 in 100 working adults working in one of our teams. Once you’re through our doors, you’ll find a welcoming environment where everyone’s encouraged to bring their full selves to work.
What qualifications will I gain?
It depends on the specific programme, but you could work towards Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications (or even higher). These are nationally recognised and can lead to further study or often full-time roles within Tesco.
What happens after I finish?
Many apprentices stay on with Tesco in permanent roles, and some even progress into management. Regardless, you’ll have gained valuable experience and confidence to take your next step, wherever that may be.
