With our Stronger Starts Retail Apprenticeship, you’ll get a full-time job, earning £23,662.08 (pro rata), as well as a Level 2 National Standard in Retail qualification. You could even become a Shift Leader at the end of your 12-month apprenticeship (length will depend on your contracted hours). All you need is the drive and commitment to succeed, and we’ll support you with hands-on experience and structured learning.
You'll gain hands-on experience of how a store operates, and see how different departments work together to keep things running smoothly. This will help you develop essential teamwork and communication skills, while understanding the day-to-day operations of a busy retail environment.
No two days are the same. You’ll have the opportunity to experience different roles and tasks across the store. One day, you might be picking online shopping orders, and the next, you could be stocking F&F clothing. Every role is centred around our customers, to give them the best possible service.
As part of the programme, you’ll get a tablet device to complete a range of learning modules. You may also need to gain Maths and English qualifications called Functional Skills, which are equivalent to GCSEs. These are completed in-store as part of your daily work, so you can learn and earn at the same time.
